Today marked my 31st IV infusion to suppress my immune system (technically, I get the infusion via Portia, my port, rather than IV access these days). Though I’m fatigued, my guts already feel calmer after last week’s miserable Crohn’s flare-up.
I felt pretty good going in today, so that was a plus. Mama and I had a relaxing morning and I actually enjoyed getting dressed. I wore fun hoop earrings, my favorite patterned mask, and a birthday gift necklace representing health and good fortune.
A lovely bonus to each infusion these last few years is catching up on life, dogs, and gardens with the awesome nurses at the infusion center. And it is always a joy to visit with our dear friends Kelley and Dena who gave me rides to and from the hospital today.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was my 31st immune-suppressing infusion! And now we’re off to celebrate with mint chip ice cream cones (at home)! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
