After nearly 2.5 years of immune-suppressing infusions for Crohn’s Disease, my veins in my arms and hands were no longer viable and I had to have a port placed in my chest.
Though I knew it was the right decision, I still felt scared. Can you see the relief on my face in my Recovery Room selfie? Everything went well and I’m happy to be back home resting with Mama!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was getting my Port placed! I feel like we need to name her… suggestions? Portia? What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.

Yeppers, remembering the mixture of emotions and apprehension of getting a port and it being overwhelming. The technology is amazing, but, yes daunting as well.
…Portia – That made me smirk. Would’ve never thought of naming but hey makes sense!
You are one tough cookie. Here you are putting out out all of this lift and love for other women and here you are just out and out special and brave and just keeping it real. Love you girl.
