This funky purple smock belonged to my beloved Mema and wearing it makes me feel like she’s still with me.
Wearing my grandma’s wild apron, I made homemade granola for Mama using a treasured recipe by her childhood friend More Diane. A 4th generation is represented in a framed photo Mama took of her own grandmother making matzo balls.
I imagined these strong women surrounding me with love while I worked away and washed dishes.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was feeling close to family in the kitchen! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

Gabriana, I thought of you when I made mayonnaise today, and the other day when I made granola too.
