Post-pandemic coffee catch-up

Once holiday-mandated family togetherness concludes, it’s friend reunion time.

The joy of living in a friend’s hometown is that sometimes you get one of these ok-we’re-done-with-family-time visits. Such was the case with my friend Lisa and I was thrilled—especially since I hadn’t seen her since before Covid.

Lisa and I first met in a Bay Area regional Jewish youth group in high school and then spent our first year of college on the same study-abroad program in Israel. We both went on to finish university in Los Angeles and had careers in journalism. With so much shared history and overlapping friends, catching up and reminiscing is always a joy.

We opted for a visit at home this morning. I brewed the coffee and Lisa brought Village Bakery goodness.

Today’s #OneGoodThing is a post-pandemic coffee catch-up with Lisa! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
