A British kind of brunch

Loyal readers will know that Mama and I are easily influenced when it comes to what we eat. We’ve hunted down all kinds of food items after reading about them in a book or seeing them in a movie, the variety of items too ridiculous to name. Mama and I particularly favor British TV shows, in which they are ALWAYS drinking tea.

This morning, I surprised Mama with a special little brunch: British Double Cream (couldn’t locate clotted cream—yet!) over mini cranberry orange scones and French-pressed English Breakfast Tea from a little tea shop we adore in Carmel-by-the-Sea. We savored every bite and giggled over how terribly suggestible we are!
