Today was my 26th IV infusion to tamp down my overactive immune system. I’ve only had my implanted Port (named Portia) for the last few months, but today was the first time it didn’t hurt when the nurses hooked her up.
I’m not sure if that was due to the new numbing cream or because of the nurse’s excellent technique to distract me. I was concentrating so much on her instructions to wiggle my toes and fingers and clench my tush, that I barely noticed the needle!
Though I’m beyond exhausted, I’m pleased that today’s infusion went well—especially since I had to really fight to get it approved given my ongoing bladder infections.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was Portia’s first painless access! And many thanks to our friend Phil for the ride to and from the hospital!!! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.
Day 64 of 366. And Day 1,525 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things, & the 4th year of good things)!
On this day…
