Mama and I had been considering an Air Fryer for our kitchen but didn’t want to give up limited space for another appliance. Then we learned about the Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid. We’re obsessed with our Instant Pot, so we decided to go for it as our Mother’s Day treat. It’s our only crazy quarantine purchase, besides an embarrassingly large bag of Hot Tamales candy. And I regret nothing.
After reading the instructions and researching recipes online, I embarked on our first Instant Pot Air Fryer experiment. These yummy fries—made using our favorite Japanese white sweet potatoes—were crisped to perfection in 20 minutes! Before going into the fryer, I soaked potato pieces in cold water for 15 minutes, dried them, and then seasoned with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder. I have a feeling we’ll be making this dish daily for a while.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was a successful and delicious first Air Fryer experiment! Thanks to a wonderful Facebook community of Instant Pot lovers for introducing us to the Air Fryer Lid! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
